Lisa Bievenue

Lisa Bievenue, M.A., M.P.H., is currently Assistant Director at the Illinois Informatics Institute, where she has managed projects such as iCUBED (Informatics and Computation Ubiquitous throughout Baccalaureate EDucation; CNS 0722327) and coordinates proposals for interdisciplinary research and instructional programs involving informatics. Current informatics program growth areas include data sciences, game design, and health informatics. Since 2000 most of her education research efforts have been directed toward project evaluation of education and outreach projects in computer and computational science (e.g., Cleveland State University’s National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded projects CS10k Computing in Secondary Schools (CNS-1339270)and Understanding Equity and Access in a CSforAll Implementation (CNS-1738607). She is also involved in educational research on making and design activities in middle school classrooms, and is co-PI of NSF-funded exploratory research Project MAPLE: MAkerspaces Promoting Learning and Engagement (DRK-12 #1721236).
